Nonprofit Overview

Causes: Economic Development, Microfinance, Rural Economic Development

Mission: To advocate for and with people with disabilities to promote full participation in society.

Programs: Independent living services for individuals with disabilities; serving six counties & two cities in s. W. Virginia: bland, carroll, grayson, smyth, washington, and wythe counties and the cities of bristol and galax virginia. Programs promote independent living for persons with disabilities, families and the community. Approximately 109 individuals were served during the year.

rent received from deaf and hard of hearing services center and brain injury services center for office space leased from aic. The office space is located in aic's main office in abingdon virginia. Renting space to these nonprofit organizations helps to further aic's exempt mission by providing services and assistance to persons with disabilities.
