Mission: Hospice is a health care organization with the mission of care and support of terminally ill patients, who have a prognosis of six months or less, and their families. Hospice services include a coordinated effort of medical, psychosocial, spiritual, and bereavement support delivered by a team of professionals. Bereavement support is offered for up to 13 months if the family so desires. Volunteers, an integral part of Hospice services, contribute support and care in a variety of ways to the patient and family. Hospice supports and cares for patients and families in ways most appropriate for their particular lives and personal situations.
