For 100% volunteer, this organization is very effective in getting the community involved with environmental stewardship. My whole family has helped in events like trash cleanups, tree plantings, and water quality monitoring. Everyone I've worked with are friendly and knowledgeable, knowing their local actions are improving the "big picture" for the environment.

I helped with water sampling and everyone I met was very nice. I could tell everyone cared about what they were doing and wanted to help protect the watershed.

I've had such a great experience with volunteering at ACWA. I've learned so much about trees and tree care, the impact that trees have on my local watershed and so much more!

Our City has worked with ACWA for many years, and they have been a wonderful partner. Always willing to assist with environmental projects and initiatives, and they have taken the lead on a number of programs including stream cleanups, tree planting, and the creation of pollinator habitats. They have been one of the strongest advocates for environmental preservation in our community, and are our "go to" partner for environmental action.

ACWA is a highly dedicated all-volunteer group. Their projects are very intentional and impactful in terms of environmental impact, education, targeted data collection, and volunteer engagement. ACWA is a pleasure to work with and has a stellar reputation in the local area. They are knowledgeable in grant project management and ambitious in their undertakings.
ACWA thinks big picture by collecting data and targeting priority areas, but also provides tangible "boots on the ground" work and impact through tree planting, litter collections, tree seed collection etc.
