Causes: Religion, Religion-Related
Mission: Non-denominational christian ministry with an intense focus on inspiring, empowering and educating others (women in particular) by applying biblical principles towards bridging the gap and building solid friendships between diverse women of faith and beliefs.
Programs: Held two-day annual friendship fellowship conference where women, men and youth of various faiths/denominations came together and were empowered through prayer, corporate fellowships, testimonies, the word of god and music. Men in attendance were provided mini-workshops relating to faith and the walk of a godly man. Attendees were provided mainly with information regarding breast cancer presented by professional health care providers from yuma cancer center. The were also presented with a discussion panel consisting of women who shared examples of and how to handle real-life experiences. There were 72 attendees and annual published program schedule booklet/magazines were distributed as well as breast cancer information brochures. There was a gospel music fest on friday night featuring local and southern ca area gospel music artists.
awofm's annual yuma area prayer breakfast was held on october 15, 2016. Overall attendance was 89 including men, women, and children. Awofm's main purpose in hosting such events is to edify the body of christ by featuring the spoken word, praise/worship through song and dance, and ultimately build strong faith through the power of prayer. Program schedules were printed and distributed for this event.
