Annunciation Maternity Home is truly a blessing. This organization helps all types of woman in need during a crisis pregnancy. They have helped so many woman over the years it is incredible. Thank God for Christie Aaronson and her husband Michael Aaronson for founding such an amazing place.
I have volunteered at this facility from the very beginning. Wonderful place for women to get the support needed to be a single mom. I donate my time, talent and treasure to this nonprofit.
Annunciation Maternity Home gives women and teens in a crisis pregnancy hope in a troubled time in their life. With their high school, infant development center and life skills classes, mothers are given the tools for life to be productive persons and not a burden to society.
They only take girls that fit their specific molds. If they don't like you they kick you out with no notice or plan. Also very pushy with religion, better be Catholic if you want to stay! Great in theory, just need to plan their discharges better.
This organization claims to be faith based in helping young mothers with their babies. Website is very misleading and they have a high turnover of staff and girls staying there. Apparently they have a habit of putting the girls to the street with small babies when they don't want to help them anymore. The reviews written in their Facebook page exposing them for the bad situations they are leaving the poor girls in get deleted. This place is not what it is portrayed to be. Shame on them how they have kicked numerous girls out to the street with babies and no where to go. No reasonable reason for doing it but they claim they don't have to give a reason because it's privately funded. Hopefully this review will help these unfortunate teens in a bad situation from going there and end up right on the street or sleeping in a car.
A joy to volunteer here. THe volunteer organizer and the regular volunteers were all friendly and helpful and excited to have us there. THey provided plenty of water and a hot-dog lunch with the residents. THeir mission is very admirable and they are doing very good work.
I greatly enjoyed working the day at Annunciation Maternity Home. Volunteering is very rewarding regardless of the organization with which one works, but AMH was particularly well organized and direction for the activities were planned in advance which made the work flow run tremendously smooth and our group accomplished a lot. We also received a tour of the campus and briefing of the mission. I look forward to working with this great group again.
