Programs: Annika invitational series offers a unique golf tournament and educational program for the top junior female golfers. The events are held in the united states, sweden and china. The purpose of the tournaments is not only to provide junior players with the opportunity to compete against world class competition but also to educate them about the off-course elements of playing collegiate and professional golf, such as media training and the importance of health and nutrition.
the annika intercollegiate is a 54-hole stroke play golf tournament featuring 12 of the top division i women's college teams in the united states. The event is held at reunion resort in orlando, florida with each team consisting of five women competing for a team and individual title.
annika junior day is held to teach the fundamentals of golf and the importance of proper fitness and nutrition to underprivileged central florida kids. Nearly 90 kids from the first tee of central florida and the orlando minority youth golf association had the opportunity to spend the day learning and enjoying a healthy lunch and golf clinic with annika.
other program services includes (1) annika cup - created in 2007, the annika cup is an annual match play competition for 12 of the top female amateur girls in sweden. The tournament integrates training with a competition element. It introduces drills and techniques annika uses and that her team teaches at the annika academy. The girls are also split into two teams of six to compete against each other in singles match play. On the last day of the event, annika conducts a clinic for the girls, hosts a q&a session and then sits down with them for lunch; (2) general expense allocation of payroll to program services; and (3) grants to (a) ajga - the goal of the ace grant program is to give top-flight golf opportunities to young golfers regardless of financial resources. This program helps to fulfill the ajga's mission of developing young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf; (b) ucf foundation - founded in 1969, the ucf foundation, inc. , is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to encourage, steward and celebrate charitable contributions from alumni and friends to support the university of central florida; (c) jog-a-thon - funds assist to fund its physical education (pe) program; and (d) kate & justin rose foundation - the foundation inspires children from the inside out, through nutrition, education and experiences.
