Mission: As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, our main goals are to rescue animals in need, to educate about wildlife, and to discourage people from keeping exotic animals as pets. The majority of our animals are rescued from the exotic pet trade and have lived dramatic circumstances. At Animal Tracks we provide a sanctuary for these animals, and through proper care from our staff and community we are giving them a new lease on life. We rely on your support to give these animals a second chance!
Results: We have rescued hundreds of exotic animals since 2008 and gave them a forever home. We welcome more than 6000 visitors per year to inspire them and educate them about the dangers of the illegal wildlife trade.
Target demographics: the general public
Direct beneficiaries per year: 6000 visitors
Geographic areas served: Southern California
Programs: animal experiences, workshops and events
I absolutely love Animal Tracks and everything they do to inspire compassion for exotic animals while educating the public about the dangers of the illegal pet trade. Their deep love and respect for the animals is clear in every detail of the sanctuary. Executive Director Stacy Gunderson is a true expert in animal behavior—her knowledge and passion are unmatched. This is hands down one of the best and most meaningful animal experiences in California!
