Back in February, 2011, My son,Justin, returned to Lebanon , New Hampshire with his newly spayed, fully- vaccinated kitten, Tigger, to stay with a friend until he found a job and was able to get his own Apartment. This arrangement lasted only 2 weeks. The friend agreed to keep Tigger while Justin rented a Sleeping Room. Within a few days, a window screen was missing from a 2nd story window.Tigger jumped out and escaped. Justin was devastated. However, upon placing flyers , a neighboring Apartment tenant had taken Tigger in and cared for her. Within an Hour, Tigger the cat was found. But, who could she stay with until Justin could get his own Apartment?I had also lived in Lebanon New Hampshire, so I began to make calls, asking questions, if you couldn't keep your cat briefly, who would you know who could? Immediately, Barbara Lord of "Angels Among Us Pet Hostel" was suggested as a reputable" clean place , with a kind Animal-Loving, responsible non-profit. Plus, Barbara Lord immediately agreed to take Tigger for 10 to 12 weeks since she was spayed, vaccinated, and parasite-free! Barbara Lord said "Yes!" Today, Tigger will soon be 8 years old. and it is now June, 2017 and she now resides with my son Justin or myself. I will never forget the kind, immediate approval to take young Tigger into her care until my son got onto his feet!
I had decided to adopt a cat from the hostel when I had heard of them. We went to visit the animals they had and we immediately took to Lilly, our cat. More importantly , she immediately took to us. AAUPH is providing a wonderful service to the community by sheltering and looking after the well being of abandoned, injured or sick animals. They had taken good care of Lilly and were very helpful and wonderful throughout the adoption process. We especially appreciated it as we were first time pet owners. Our cat Lilly has filled our lives with love and delight and we are thankful to AAUPH for it.
I was displaced by a small stove fire that caused alot of smoke damage and needed to stay in a hotel while my apartment was being fixed. A friend had given me an Angels Among Us business card so i thought it would be worth getting a hold of them as most hotels in my area dont allow pets. I think it took a day for Barbara to come and get my 2 cats (we had to sechudal a pick up time) and she was extremely friends, and we keep in contact via email on how they are doing. She has set up a vet appoinment to fix my male cat and i am sure it lowered the stress level of Sami and Cullen. I am greatly appricated that they had a safe enviorment to go to where they have been well taken care of.
