I have been privileged to be a volunteer with Angel Care Breast Cancer Foundation. I say privileged, because through my work with newly diagnosed breast cancer survivors, with doctors and nurses, with social workers, and with other volunteers, I have grown and developed as a person. As a twenty year survivor, I hope I have been able to endow the newly diagnosed survivors, with hope and the courage to face their treatment and future. It is such a joy to see them grow and develop. I feel I get as much or back than I give. Part of my growth has been through the training and educational programs of Angel Care. I have been kept up to date with the newest trends, the newest treatments, and the newest approaches to survivor well-being. Working one-on-one with survivors has been a real privilege.
