Mission: TO FINANCIALLY AND EMOTIONALLY SUPPORT FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN THAT HAVE CANCER AND WILL BE GOING THROUGH THE BONE MARROW TRANSPLANT PROCESS. AHH DIRECTLY PAYS THE CREDITORS OF THE FAMILY SO THAT THE FAMILY CAN FOCUS ON THEIR CHILD. AS WELL AS TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE REGISTERED ON THE BONE MARROW TRANSPLANT REGISTRY BY HOLDING BONE MARROW DRIVES
Results: AHH HAS HELPED 46 FAMILIES, AND HAVE SUCCESSFULLY PLACED OVER 21,000 VOLUNTEER DONORS ON THE BONE MARROW REGISTRY
Target demographics: families that have a child with cancer going through the bone marrow transplant process
Direct beneficiaries per year: 2 families stay in their homes. We raised over $25,000 to accomplish this
Geographic areas served: local hospitals in Massachusetts
Programs: directly paying the mortgage/rent for the family for a pproximatley 12 month period so that they can focus 100% on what is important, their child!
