Mission: AD+World Health's mission is to provide sustainable humanitarian aid, health and wellness education, and healthcare to children and families in need by designing, building, and sustaining permanent healthcare facilities globally, and training the next generation of health care providers to serve in impoverished regions around the world.
Results: * USA: The Downey Family Care center is under construction. The center will be a medical home for families lacking full medical service access. The center's education, preventative care, and holistic, family-centered approach will decrease morbidity, decrease healthcare costs, improve emergency room wait-time for those with true emergency medical problems and overall improve the quality of life for those living in Southeast Los Angeles.
+ USA: We continue to partner with CareHarbour Free Clinics and our CEO serves as the medical Director for the annual 4-day clinic events that provide free medical, dental and vision services, as well as aftercare arrangements for the under-served in Southern California.
*India: A one-room clinic was established in May 2008 and stocked with $90,000 of donated medical supplies from Direct Relief International. It is supported by local volunteer doctors and returning doctors from the US and India. The 3000 sq ft eco-green clinic/infirmary/pharmacy is planned to open March 2013 providing primary care, dental and optometry services to the entire region. A satellite link with digital imaging at the clinic will allow specialists from around the world to "virtually" evaluate and treat patients in need.

They strive to bring health and medical treatments to those that need it desperately. As a youth development professional involved myself in a very similar field, this organizations mission, structure, and actions have helped stimulate and sustain my own organization in so many ways. WIth emphasis on healthcare, urban planning and volunteer training, AD World Health is making an incredible difference in the lives of those whom need it most. With motivated and loving staff, AD World Health is helping establish community throughout the world.
Dental care is often overlooked in communities without adequate medical care. AD World Health has incorporated both dental and medical care into their model. At the Manjushree Orphanage in Tawang, India, the 100+ children were brushing their teeth, but all the toothbrushes were in one basket. Children would take a brush, any brush, to clean their teeth. By sharing oral bacterial among the children, the entire group was showing signs of upper respiratory infection. AD World Health volunteer Brian build two extremely long toothbrush holders so each child would have their own, personal toothbrush. The children have assigned numbers and so do the toothbrush holder slots and the toothbrushes. Such a simple thing can make such a huge difference in the health and wellbeing of these children. AD+ World truly encompasses its tag line of "A Collaborative Effort To Heal The World" by being extremely hands in its approach. I've been a part of the team for some months now, and everyone- from myself to the trained medical professionals volunteer their time and effort to really make a change in the world. So much can be accomplished if you become the change you want to see. AD+ World really strives for that.
I got started helping with AD+ about 6 months ago and have found the entire organization to be so wholesome. AD is one organization that I can feel pride in helping because I know how much good they REALLY do.
It's not just band aid work either, AD+ is one of the few non profits to be making a real, lasting impact on communities around the world.
As a volunteer physician and board member, I have been actively involved with AD+ World Health for 5 years. This home-grown small non-profit has a lot of heart! AD+ World Healths projects both domestically and abroad have mad a difference in so many children's and families' lives. The organization is 100% volunteer, and I am privileged to work aside so many who truly give of themselves be of service where it is most needed.
AD+World Health is a100% volunteer organization. We are so lucky to have amazing volunteers willing to donate their time, passion and expertise to care for those most in need around the world. It is my privlage to work side by side with all of our volunteers to make a real difference in the quality of life of our patients. AD+ is an organization of the people for the people, especially those who need it most, the sick, the children, the less fortunate. When AD+ is involved you know your contribution, time, and effort is only used directly for the project - nothing else. There are so many that have benefitted and so many more to come.
Ad+ World Health is a great organization and I fully believe in their mission. I have personally worked with a few of the board members and they are the most hard working people i know.
