Programs: Produce and distribute a newsletter for avmla members, veterinary students and libraries, and other interested persons reporting recent developments in veterinary medical law. Mailing list of approximately 325 individuals and institutions.
organize and present annual educational program with speakers on legal themes affecting veterinary medicine, animal health, animal care, and public health. Approximately 40 attend the program; proceedings are available to all members electronically.
participate in conferences and programs (meetings, conference calls, and blogs) on subjects regarding veterinary medicine and the law, providing expertise on the law and other assistance as appropriate. Occasionally prepare white papers on a veterinary medical law subject.
