Programs: Theatre productions: mainstage is american stages core programming with seasons consisting of 6 productions in our 182 seat raymond james theatre and attendance approximating 25,000 attendees annually. In addition, american stage in the park consists of a full-scale musical produced outdoors for four weeks each spring. Attended by 10,000 to 15,000 individuals annually, it has become an area tradition for over a generation. Our after hours shows provide the opportunity to showcase local artists of many mediums to our patrons. To achieve our mission and create theatre accessible to all members of the community, ticket prices are affordably priced; mainstage and american stage in the park productions offer a pay what you can night with no set ticket price; after hours production tickets are generally pay what your can with $15 suggested or with advance purchase; ticket discounts are offered to seniors/students; tickets are free to active military.

education: our education department serves another 21,000 students and adults annually through a school tour production; camps, classes, playwriting and drama clubs; and outreach programs for persons with disabilities, the homeless and incarcerated youth. At american stage we believe that every child deserves access to a quality arts education and we seek to serve schools and organizations free of charge through our teaching artist outreach and write on! Programs where access to the arts is limited or nonexistent. Many of these youth attend schools where more than half the students qualify for the free and reduced lunch program, thus helping us reach underserved and underprivileged young people. By working to improve critical reading and writing skills in students, american stage education is also investing in the future of our community.
