Our share story campaign highlighted stories of hope and helped put a face on lung cancer. Our online patients get support from peers who are going through many of the same issues related to asthma, copd and lung cancer. Our lung helpline serves callers with answers, resources and support to lung health and smoking cessation questions. Our open airways for schools provide tools and resources to assist students develop asthma management techniques with our schools. Our asthma basics online course helped adults with asthma and their caregivers with information and tools to improve asthma management.
smoking education: alase programs provide basic education on the health hazards of tobacco and breathing second-hand smoke. We provide tobacco use prevention programs as well as programs to support people who are trying to quit smoking.
research: alase funds a broad spectrum of medical research grants and awards that advance the fight against lung disease like lung cancer, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (copd), lung diseases of infants and children and many others. This will lead to better treatments and cures. Expenses of $1,384,010 including grants of $499,571.
