This organization got started around the same time as 9 / 11 but in Israel where the founders lost their daughter to a n act of terrorism and responded by creating something that does a large amount of good work with children who have disabilities. more specifically they provide support to the parents of children with special needs so that they can continue to live at home where the family loves them and can look after. i saw the two founders speaking at an event in Jeruslaem went I went there to give my solidarity and to visit. I was really impressed by the way they responded to lemons by making lemon juice, but really it's impressive and not a light matter at all. malki was their daughter and the name keren malki is a reminder of her life. she was a special young woman, only 15 when Hamas terrorists killed her. and today hundreds of children, and that includes muslims, living in Israel are helped in her memory.
Review from Guidestar
Malka Chana Roth was only fifteen years old when she was murdered at the Sbarro Restaurant massacre in Jerusalem on August 9, 2001. A young woman full of social awareness and empathy for her fellow man. She dedicated her short life for the assistance of young children with physical disabilities. Malki endowed her legacy to her family and during the Shiva, the seven days of mourning of her death, her parents, Frimet and Arnold Roth, already established the Malki Foundation (www.kerenmalki.org) dedicated to assistance of families with disabled children. The foundation helps fund, otherwise inaccessible therapies, so necessary for these young children. This is a story of hate inflicted death nurturing love and giving, nurturing life. I had the honor and the pleasure of witnessing the miracles the Malki Foundation does as part of a voluntary photography project displayed here: http://www.imagesofmythoughts.com/Projects/Malkis-Legacy/3904064_Ryb5Y
