Nonprofit Overview
Mission: The American Federation for Children seeks to improve our nation’s K-12 education by advancing systemic and sustainable public policy that empowers parents, particularly those in low-income families, to choose the education they determine is best for their children.
Results: Growing bipartisan support for all forms of educational choice has seen new programs developed in six states and expanded programs in three other states bringing current programs to 40 states and the District of Columbia.
Target demographics: improve our nation’s K-12 education.
Direct beneficiaries per year: more than 100,000 students receive the opportunity to access a quality school.
Geographic areas served: conjunction with the Alliance for School Choice
