I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes.

I contacted the American Diabetes Association's Atlanta, GA office several times and they never return phonecalls. In addition, I've visited the American Diabetes Association's website to learn more about how they conduct medical research, and there is no transparency there. I really don't understand how they're able to accomplish this as a non-profit and why they do not share what clinical trials they're supporting on the website. It's a mystery to me.

I don't really care for the American Diabetes Association because everything they claim to do always turns out to be absolutely nothing when you get down to the bottom of it. I think that when they claimed to provide financial assistance and misled me, it really upset me. They sent a packet of information but it wasn't really financial assistance. I would never give anything personally to the American Diabetes Association. I think they're full of it.

It is amazing to watch such a large orgainzation struggle so severely with management and organization. The leadership selected and prmoted are by fair the least mission centric, donor related individuals. All-in-all, a very scary organization
