The annual meeting consists of multiple educational programs including breakout sessions, plenary sessions, networking opportunities, and case presentations on a range of topics. Tracks are designated for clinicians, educators, and researchers.
membership, communications, publications and website - aagp provides its members and other heatlh care professionals with information on current developments in the field of geriatric psychiatry by publishing a monthly peer reviewed scientific journal, ' american journal of geriatric psychiatry" which includes articles on new research and data that enable health care providers to provide evidence based care to the older adult population. Aagp provides convenient electronic services to its members such as listserves, website access, annual surveys, online registrations and dues renewal, electronic balloting, online directory, publications, notifications of upcoming events and opportuniities and meeting materials.
education and research - aagp provides consumer education to individuals and health care centers who contact the association through individual referrals, organizational referrals, and basic information on late life mental illnesses, as well as caregivers support resources.
