One of the most caring, compassionate and dedicated groups of people, from care at the Shelter to locating and placing lost/unwanted animals in new homes. I personally have experienced their assistance, their communication letting you know, their gratitude for donations of any type supplies or money-they are blessed, and a blessing to the Lord's animals. Our nation was built on people like this.

Mission: Amelia patrons for animal welfare, inc (apaw) was formed in 1995 by a group of concerned citizens who were dismayed by the archaic animal shelter operated by amelia county. The purpose of apaw is "the prevention of cruelty to animals, the relief of suffering among animals, and the extension of humane education. "
Programs: Apaw provided spay and neuter services to five clinics in 2017 and other aid in caring for abandoned pets.
