Mission: The specific purpose of this corporation is to investigate, document and report incidents of anti-semitism that occur in institutions of higher education in america and to educate the jewish community and other members of the public about such incidents and other manifestations of harassment and intimidation of jewish students on college and university campuses, as well as to organize, undertake and support efforts to combat and remedy anti-jewish bigotry and any activities relations thereto.
Programs: Investigating: amcha released two groundbreaking reports: an annual report examining antisemitic activity in 2016 at more than 100 schools with the largest jewish populations; and a hard-hitting study investigating how u. S. Faculty who publicly support an academic boycott of israel may be harming their own students and colleagues. Documenting: amchas website documented over 600 incidents and 150+ student testimonials alongside divestment votes, swastikas, sjp chapters, etc. We added an interactive mapping portal showing the geographical spread of campus antisemitism that received more than 10,000 page views in the first week. Educating: amchas data was cited in: several major reports on antisemitism; a groundbreaking lawsuit against san francisco state university; the algemeiners and forwards rankings of campuses for jewish students; the testimonies of experts and members of congress at the congressional hearing on the antisemitism awareness act, and elsewhere. Hundreds of articles covered amchas efforts.
