Mission: To improve the health of peruvian villagers by providing medical services including public health outreach, as well as community education, spiritual and family support.
Programs: Medical program. During fiscal year from 1 july 2017 through 30 june 2018: amor projects' medical clinics and public health outreach served approximately 3,924 medical patients, 54 dental patients, and 501 eye patients. Free clinics include blood pressure and weight checks, medical consultations, diagnosis, prescription medicine, screenings for certain diseases, lessons in basic hygiene, dental examination and extractions, vision examination and correction with prescription glasses and sunglasses.
community outreach program. During the fiscal year ending 30 june 2018, amor projects' volunteers conducted a total of 178 english language classes for approximately 625 spanish-speaking students. Ten volunteers made 130 visits to a local orphanage to conduct programs to provide encouragement, friendship and attention to the orphans. 41 volunteers and local staff conducted home visits to provide spiritual and mental encouragement and to bring restoration to the whole person. Community meetings were conducted resulting in 83 individuals making commitments to baptism and joining the local community of believers.
