Mission: To advance scientific and medical research related to diagnosis, treatment, cure and prevention of pancreatic cancer, neuroendocrine cancer and all other forms of cancer through various fundraising efforts.
Programs: Amanda w. Lockey foundation is committed to advancing scientific and medical research related to the diagnosis, treatment, cure and prevention of pancreatic cancer, neuroendocrine cancer and other forms of cancer. During this year, the foundation has contributed financial support for promising cancer treatment trials at the university of kentucky-markey cancer center. Results from the trials have been published in a cancer journal in europe about the three patients in the original trial. All three cases were remarkable in that the drug attacks the tumor by starving the blood, then an immunotherapy drug is administered and attacks the tumors. All results were positive. There are five patients in the current trial at markey cancer center. The trial is showing good results and plans are to add two new patients to the current trial. The foundation is looking forward to finding a cure for pancreatic cancer!
