Mission: The organization's purpose is to provide financial support to and for the benefit of the university of virginia and its educational programs.
Programs: The alumni board of trustees of the university of virginia endowment fund (the alumni board) accepts gifts on behalf of the university of virginia, manages the investment of those gifts, and distributes the income to the university of virginia and related entities according to the wishes of the donor and/or the alumni board as appropriate. For the year ended june 30, 2017, the alumni board appropriated $3,457,871 for expenditure for the benefit of the university of virginia and its educational purposes.
