Alpha Xi Delta Foundation

Programs: In the fiscal year, the foundation provided substantial support for alpha xi delta's personal development and philanthropic programming that prepares women to build a better world. These included: the leadership coach program, strengths and wellbeing programming and activities increasing autism awareness. The leadership coach program helped young women acquire essential life skills and become stronger, more confident women. Working with women nationwide, leadership coaches facilitated activities centering on personal development, assisted women in maximizing the benefit of strengths development, and trained chapter executive committees to be high performing teams. At the founders' academy, more than 125 collegiate women were immersed in strengths-based leadership education to be more effective leaders for their campuses and communities. The clear vision of life: the wellbeing program for alumnae was launched educating alumnae members about the essential elements of wellbeing and how to incorporate them into their daily lives to be better, stronger citizens of their communities. Contributions were made to four institutions of higher education to support leadership development programming in honor of newly established alpha xi delta chapters. Scholarships and continuing education grants were awarded to collegiate and alumnae members to realize their higher education goals and prepare for today's ever-changing global job market. At the summer immersion experience fifteen collegiate members had the benefit of education in the four pillars of autism speaks research, advocacy, family services and awareness and became stronger advocates for this important issue. Grants were awarded to help eight chapters dream bigger and enhance their fundraising and autism awareness efforts in their communities. The alpha xi delta foundation continues its proud tradition of providing resources to inspire women to realize their potential through the leadership opportunities it offers, the lifelong learning that it inspires and the service it provides to improve the lives of children.
