translation: using atw software to create a draft translation, followed by editing by a native speaker, translated genesis and judges into tagalog, the major language of the philippines with more than 70 million speakers. Tranalated our first book, ruth, into the philippine language ayta mag-indi. (for our process, the first book is by far the most difficult. ) started work on the grammar and vocabulary for a third language of the philippines, botolan sambal.
ministry: distributed 500 copies of the book of ruth in tagalog to orphanages, special schools, and churches in manila. Began leading bible studies and literacy training in prisons in manila.
