Since inception, in 2009, the program has issued and acted on 1340 requested certificates. In doing so, we have expended almost $137,000 to various participating veterinarians for their services. Operationally, we request a token amount from the owners in support of the program. All it does is reduce the total invoice amount by the amount of $20. It does not go into our coffers. To date, our funding has been through private donations by individuals. We are always in need of financial resources.
The program is a great benefit in our county and all the thanks should go to the founder, Josie Robertson.
