Mission: Protecting the natural diversity and integrity of alaska's marine ecosystems by working with coastal communities whos well-being depends on healthy oceans.
Programs: Fisheries conservation: the council's mission is accomplished by educating and advocating for selected issues, including: 1. Preparing and/or contracting for development of informational publications such as by-catch analysis. 2. Engaging in council's membership and public to identify and develop recommentations for protection of important areas of marine habitat and by-catch reduction. 3.
