Causes: Job Training
Mission: To encourage, sponsor and provide a means for dissemination of information with regard to education training and apprenticeship throughout the state of alaska through participation of all groups within our collective fields. To promote brotherhood, sisterhood and unity between all aatca members.
Programs: From july 1, 2013 to june 30, 2014, aatca received a state of alaska, step grant (state training & employment program) to serve underserved and minority alaskans in apprenticeship readiness training program. Training was provided by aatca member trade union apprenticeship training facilities and specificly indentified expenses were reimbursed to those training providers through the grant. Aatca encurred administrative/clerical expenses mostly reimbursed by the grant.
from july 1, 2013 to june 30, 2014, aatca received a state of alaska, youth grant to serve alaska youth ages 16 - 24 years old by providing career and apprenticeship opportunities through job fairs and alaska construction career days (accd) expo. Aatca expenses covered a portion of related overhead costs for the expo and administrative/clerical for overseeing the grant.
