Mission: Aiym's mission is to provide youth with adventure filled mission trips that inspire leadership abilities and creates opportunities for personal and spiritual growth within america's great outdoors.
Programs: Jan. 20-21: aiym hosted a few young boys on a hog hunt as part of the kids feeding kids hunt. " it was a successful hunt with the boys harvesting feral hogs to feed their families and the children at rancho 3m orphanage in guadalupe, mexico. Devotionals and testimonies are shared each morning and evening with personal one on one discipleship during the hours spent in the field. Jan. 30 - feb. 14: jim and melony traveled to kenya east africa for their 4th missionary tour of duty there. After landing in nairobi they made a long trek to a remote area in north central kenya inhabited by the samburu tribe. They conducted "hut to hut" evangelism and shared the jesus film with the help of pastors from life changing discipleship ministries, who served as translators. They then traveled to nakuru where they traveled to local towns and held pastor conferences to encourage them in evangelizing the areas they lived in. By the end of the two week journey they were privileged to witness over 250 professions of faith. These same pastors are actively following up and inviting new christians to become part of their church family. May 31-aug. 13: aiym high adventure camp in colorado. Aiym hosted numerous guests at the camp which included church mission teams, families, youth groups, mens group and individuals. Each group volunteered to help with various construction projects, as well as participated in devotions, bible studies, worship and baptisms. Some of the projects included; tree cutting, fencing, sheetrock, plumbing, concrete, painting, demolition and carpentry. Aiym had water well testing completed, installed new hose bibs for the volunteer christian builders rv hookups, water filtration research and gpm flow system research. Aiym hosted a week long mens mission team from paul ann church, san angelo, tx, facilitated a wedding with over 300 guests for the reception, sponsored a foster family appreciation day, hosted a community wide fellowship and a homeschool family weekend. Worked alongside a local church during their serve project. A group of 80 enjoyed a meal and recreating at the camp, as well as praise and worship. Each day that week we had a serve team of 8-20 volunteers at the camp working on various beautification projects. The volunteer christian builders (25 volunteers) built new decks on all the cabins, as well as the completion of the new duplex cabin. The christoval church of christ brought a group of 14 to the camp for a week long bible study, work projects and recreation. Sept. 16-21: rockport, tx hurricane harvey disaster relief. Led a team of 10 volunteers to rockport, tx to assist the hurricane victims. Aiym served over 1300 meals, cut down and removed trees in a yard where the house was completely destroyed, removed tons of downed trees in various locations, mucked out black mold in a house, as well as many other tasks during the week long mission trip in rockport. Oct. 5:marked the 8th consecutive year of the eldorado bible club. This ministry was founded by melony roche to take jesus to the neighborhoods of eldorado. Through her efforts, and the efforts of many volunteers, this ministry has grown in its discipleship of young children for christ. Several local pastors representing 3 different denominations are volunteering weekly in an effort to connect these childrens families to a local church. Dec. 21: aiym hosted a christian youth hunter education class for 12 students, ages 9-17. Those who take this class learn about firearm safety, hunter education, and jesus christ. This class, in addition to teaching firearm safety, teaches christian character and the awesome responsibility of protecting his creation. Dec. 30-31: the students who took the youth hunter education class participated in a weekend deer hunt with the meat harvested donated to the local daily bread soup kitchen. Local volunteers guided the hunters.
