Mission: The airport minority advisory council (amac) is the only national, non- profit trade association dedicated to promoting the full participation of minority-owned, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises (m/w/dbes) in contracting opportunities and professional development throughout the aviation and aerospace industries.
Programs: Offering scholarships; conducting educational forums, seminars, and research; and educating the future talent pool on air transportation, airports, airport operations and facilities management.
amac foundation hosts project lift events throughout the year and during the annual airport business diversity conference. This forum-style mentoring session is held for students interested in fields related to aviation and aviation-related business. Project lift exposes students to potential careers, educatational paths to success, and provides networking opportunities with professional mentors to further students' academic development.
