What a wonderful organization. I have seen so many educators spending lots of their own money to help our kids. This is a great way to help out in an area not too many are aware of and it is much needed and appreciated by those whom it helps - our students!!

Being a teacher at a Title I school located in a very low socio-economic area, about 98% more receive free lunch, and most students arrive without school supplies. I believe that in order for every child to be successful they need the basic supplies. I want all students to have high self-esteem and confidence so I purchase all basic supplies in the summer. I myself have four children of my own. Instead of being able to spend every penny I earn on my own children, I always feel the need to buy additional materials for my students. I have already spent well over eight hundred dollars on supplies and other items to make learning hands-on. Most people don’t have the slightest idea how much time, effort, and money a teacher puts into their classroom. It not only decorating the room, but also have manipulatives, resources, centers, etc… We not only want students to learn, but also have fun so the information taught and is learned for long-term. I have been writing grants all summer and school year long, on all websites I came across. Aid for Educators responded to my request right away and within less than a week we had the hands-on manipulatives (technology). My students and I are most grateful for all that Mr. Meyer and Aid for Educators has done for our class. Mr. Meyer is always working hard to find organizations to support educators. He is very passionate about what he does and those (teachers) that he helps. We know that the students in our class are our future, so we need to educate them for the future to come. I really admire and cherish all the work that Mr. Meyer and Aid for Educators does for all teachers in Texas. This is one organization that has made a positive impact for me, my students, and many other teachers in Texas. I believe that all organizations, donors, and supporters would be most willing to assist Aid for Educators just knowing the positive impact they create for all students by assisting teachers with the materials needed for learning.

I have been teaching for 31 years. I spend about $1000 a year out of pocket to help my classroom run as smooth and effectively as possible. I would be greatly offended if I believed the general public had any idea of our outside costs and still did nothing to try to help us out. I believe Aid for Educators has realized teachers hardships and is doing their best to help. I appreciate their efforts!

Gregory brings strong business, communications and technology skills to the formation of a new non-profit that serves a critical need in public education. His true concern for public education has enabled him to develop the partners and supporters needed to launch a visionary effort. I consider him one of the most committed citizens I have met over the past nine years in non-profit leadership.

As someone who is married to a former teacher as well as being the sister of a teacher, I see first hand how much personal expense goes into each school year. AID FOR EDUCATORS is such an amazing organization that not only recognizes the sacrifices of teachers, but they work hard to make sure our teachers have the tools and supplies they need to create the best learning environment for our kids. If you appreciate a teacher in your life or appreciate a teacher in the lives of your children then AID FOR EDUCATORS is the organization that gives you the ability to truly say, Thank You!
