Mission: To develop and provide quality, affordable rental housing, financial education and home ownership opportunities that strengthen the families and communities of northern new hampshire.
Programs: Property management - ahead owns and manages a portfolio of low/moderate income rental properties in nine northern new hampshire communities and two northern vermont communities.
housing development - ahead acquires and rehabilitates primarily substandard rental housing into quality affordable housing, and also constructs new affordable rental housing. Ahead intends to keep this housing available and affordable to households at or below 80% of median income for a minimum of 20 years.
abc - ahead provides education and counseling services to prepare individuals for homeownership and/or financial stability.
foreclosure counseling - ahead helps homeowners facing foreclosure to obtain interest rate modifications, refinancing, short sale assistance and to bring their mortgages current or to more easily transition out of their homes due to foreclosure.
