Mission: The women's resource center functions to create a reality which recognizes the value and equality of women in all aspects of life, including economic independence, freedom from violence, and equal access to and power in the political process. We recognize and advocate women's rights to self-determination and self-direction, and the end of all forms of oppression of women and children.
Programs: The womens resource center offers 24 hour crisis intervention, resources and referrals, safehomes, criminal justice intervention, and education to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault and their children in winona county. The organization served 712 people during the year for domestic violence and 119 for sexual assault. The organization provided clients with legal advocacy and criminal justice support 1103 times. The organization also provides community education on the topics of domestic violence and sexual assault to the winona area.
