Mission: We, advantage health/saint mary's medical group and trinity health, serve together in the spirit of the gospel as a compassionate and transforming healing presence within our communities. Advantage health/saint mary's medical group (ah/smmg) is a member of trinity health-michigan and trinity health.
Programs: Advantage health/saint mary's medical group (ah/smmg) offers direct patient care services through a comprehensive network of primary care physicians and specialists from 21 locations located in grand rapids, michigan and surrounding communities, as well as furnishing services to hospitalized patients. Ah/smmg operates two urgent care centers and three express care locations, which makes physician services available to the public during hours when ah/smmg's other offices are not open. During fiscal year 2017, 605,392 outpatient/clinic visits were handled by ah/smmg physicians. Ah/smmg provides essential physician services to mercy health saint mary's (a michigan 501(c)(3) hospital). Ah/smmg's physician employees work in hospital clinics to provide charity care to the uninsured. Ah/smmg participates in medicare and medicaid plans and operates under a charity care policy that makes ah/smmg's services available to individuals who do not have insurance or medicaid coverage and are unable to pay for medical services. Ah/smmg provides numerous additional services to the community, including participating in the education of health care professionals, participating in community wellness and health fairs and public screening events, and providing free medical supplies to the employees' mission effort.
