Mission: The organization is dedicated to making the world a better place by supporting sustainable grassroots projects and programs in impoverished communities particularly in the dominican republic. The organization strives to empower individuals and communities for sustainable development.
Programs: Educate a child provides school tuition, supplies and uniforms to approzimately 275 students. Grants include salaries for fourteen teachers and administrative personnel.
medical outreaches are held as part of each service group trip, at least four times per year. At least 600 patients are consulted and treated in each outreach through health screenings, dental treatments, pharmaceuticals, hiv/ aids and diabetes testing and counseling and vaccinations. Service group volunteers work together with local health professionals to provide these services.
service trips are organized through universities with alternative spring break and courses abroad opportunities. In addition, general public groups that include religious, construction and education professionals also contribute their skills in dominican republic communities to help with sustainable development projects involving children's fairs, teaching public school classes, repairing and constructing homes, distributing food, building playgrounds, conducting sports and health clinics and consulting for community agricultural projects. Approximately 90 volunteers provide time and skill to the service trips.
