Nonprofit Overview
Causes: Adoption, Children & Youth, Foster Care, Human Services
Mission: The coalition unites foster, adoptive and kinship care families, giving them a voice and providing support, information and advocacy. By fostering communication and collaboration between families, agencies and concerned citizens,we seek to ensure the stability, well-being and permanency of all children touched by the child welfare system.
Results: We have served over 200 families with 550 children through our Adoption and Guardianship Assistance Program for Everyone (AGAPE). The Coalition team responded to over 700 HelpLine phone calls and we had over a quarter of a million website viewings. In April 2019, the Coalition’s began to serve 4 additional New York State Counties via AGAPE (Madison, Cortland, Cayuga and Chenango), In total, we now provide post adoption services to 19 counties in New York.
Target demographics: unite foster, adoptive and kinship care families, giving them a voice and providing support, information and advocacy. By fostering communication and collaboration between families, agencies and concerned citizens, we seek to ensure the stability, well-being and permanency of all children touched by the child welfare system.
Direct beneficiaries per year: over 700 families who called our HelpLine, our 90 affiliated parent support groups served 1,500 families and almost 100 thousand people came to our website for information.
