Mission: The mission of the organization is to engage and organize the leadership of the business and labor community to work with education, government and others to design, implement and sustain an industry-driven, competency-based program that encourages and enables students (k through 12) to attain world class academic and skill standards in schools located in the adams county area. The business education partnership directly links school and work experiences and integrates the strengths of existing education and training programs.
Programs: Senior self improvement recognition and supportthe senior self-improvement award is aimed at turning around the lives of potential dropouts. At the beginning of each school year, the seniors from each of the six school districts have an opportunity to make a positive 180 turn in their life and receive reward money for their accomplishment. The senior self improvement award is a $500 cash award to be given to the senior demonstrating the most overall self-improvement in grades, attendance, behavior, attitude, effort, and service to others, during his or her senior year. A $100 cash award will be given to the four runners up.
the adams county career fair provides all tenth grade students living in adams county the opportunity to learn about three different careers that they might be interested in. Our county students are better informed about career choices and the requirements they need to meet to reach their career goal following the career fair.
