The members of this organization work hard day in and day out to assist the needy in our community and to get to know the personal stories of those they serve. Their dedication and commitment to serving others is truly admirable. I think it is exciting to see the recent swell of energy and enthusiasm that new leadership has brought.
I have served on the Board for five years and for the past four years have written a monthly column in the Gettysburg Times profiling a client at the men's shelter or Agape House for families. I have seen up close the tireless dedication of the ARM staff and the life-changing impact they have by showing God's love to those they serve.
Thanks to the Adams Rescue Mission, countless men, women and children have received the help they need on their journeys to become fully independent and productive citizens. The professionals at the Mission work unselfishly to serve.
ARM is committed to help the homeless, addicted, least, lost, and lonely.
I joined the board a year ago and thought I had a good idea of what ARM does for our community. I was wrong. I have met and volunteer with the most amazing, caring staff, who truly care about their clients - spiritually and occupationally. I see only a good, positive effort leading into 2024 at ARM. God’s blessings to all.
I have seen the work of the ARM for over 40 years. They provide recycling for the community, housing for men, women and children and opportunities for folks to get back on their feet. I have and will continue to support this needed ministry in Gettysburg. The staff and the board are wonderful, giving individuals. May God bless this Mission in 2024.
The Adams Rescue Mission is a beacon of light in the community! They provide much needed resources to the needy and homeless in Gettysburg and the surrounding areas. The Mission is led by an incredible group of people devoted to loving and blessing those they come in contact with. I am honored to get to serve on the Board and hope to see the ARM continue to grow and serve in the coming years!
Fast and easy donation process, friendly staff, and a staple of our community. Excited for the future of ARM!!
I served on the board over a period of 15 years. I heard stories from the lives of men and women that the mission had helped. Many who were helped by the mission were very pleased with the services the mission provided. Many lives were changed for the better and their quality of life much improved. I like that the men are given work to accomplish to give them a purpose and training in many cases, to find work on the outside. The work has been strongly supported by the community financially and with donating items for sale at the store. The staff works hard to meet the needs of those who come for help.
Agree with first guy. PARIAHS.I have seen it first hand. And once they have men helping ,there is no social works to help them better their lives socially. A one way door.

The ANONYMOUS review recently submitted~ is meaningless!!! This disgruntled individual has NO merit. For 43 years the Adams Rescue Mission has effectively been making a huge difference in the lives of men, women & children; --at least with those who want to make a difference! It is easy to speculate the ONE bitter individual who wrote this harmful, derogatory review. An anonymous review is cowardly and meaningless. Rev. Bruce

This place is the biggest SCAM ever. From the board of directors on down to the employees. The fake so called christian pastor that runs this place called (BRUCE R. DIETRICK) is a wolf in SHEEP'S CLOTHING!!!! There is no kind of help at that place. They work you like an animal for 45 hrs a week and provide you with a NASTY SMELLY OVER CROWDED ROOMS and OLD OUR DATED FOOD.( SEE PICS) MR. DIETRICK will not let the homeless get or apply for any outside assistance as far as mental health, cash assistance or food stamps. The reason for that is so that they can claim every homeless person for INCOME TAX at the end of the year. They spend no money at all and make 2.5-to 5 million a year on all the free man hours they receive from the unfortunate homeless ,mentally challenged and donations from the public. The Adams Rescue Mission really needs to be investigated by the federal government for tax fraud and the department of health for old food fed to these hard working MEN also code enforcement need to get involved as well. That place needs to be INVESTIGATED ARRESTS MADE AND CLOSED DOWN. It is really sad that the people running that place take advantage of the poor needy mentally challenged for their GAIN. THEY USE THE CHURCH JESUS NAME AND CHRISTIANITY AS A COVER FOR THEIR SCAM TO GET RICH. SOMEONE PLEASE SAVE AND HELP THOSE HOMELESS UNFORTUNATE SOULS IN THAT PLACE. IF I CAN GIVE IT NO STARS I WOULD.
