ABFN is a wonderful organization and resource for young families in the suburbs! We have been members for 5 years and have reaped the many benefits ABFN offers - from craft & story hours to community service to family outings. We have made lasting friendships along the way, too. Being a part of ABFN has been a great experience for my family and I suggest every family, especially those new in town, to join!

ABFN has been a family to me when my family is far away. My kids and I have made life-long friends through this organization. We first joined ABFN after moving to Acton 4.5 years ago and not knowing anyone. I had no family help with childcare, so I joined one of the ABFN babysitting COOPs. We also joined an ABFN-sponsored playgroup. The COOP was great for getting a babysitter (for free!) on the few occasions when I needed on. The playgroup has been our main support. The kids have been together since they were around 9 months old and have, literally, grown up together. In addition, all of the moms have become dear friends.

ABFN has really helped us connect with other families with young kids in the area and keeps us up to date on events throughout the community. There are a wide variety of activities, many of which are free to members. I highly recommend joining to anyone with young kids, and especially to families that are new to town.

We have been winvolved with ABFN since my 2nd grader was a tiny little thing. We joined the babysitting co-op and I started going to Book Group and Mom's Night Out, which provided some much-needed grownup conversation! The friends we have made through ABFN have become "the family we choose" and I hope many more families will join and enjoy all the activities and outings, and make friendships as strong as the ones we've been blessed with!

ABFN is amazing! we have made life long friends and it has really helped us feel connected to our community. In addition to providing activities for the kids, ABFN realizes that the parents sometimes need a night out - the moms and dads night out events are great!

After meeting tons of families that loved the Acton-Boxborough Family Network, my family joined ABFN in 2014. The Halloween Party was the first event we ever attended and it was an immediate favorite! As the mom of two young boys, I love the variety of activities that ABFN provides. There really is something for everyone!

Acton Boxborough Family Network has been a wonderful resource for my family. The events are great for toddlers, preschoolers and young elementary aged children. I've learned a lot via the speaker events, and the parent only events (Moms Night Out, Dads Night Out, Book Group) have resulted in great friendships for my family too.

We are so grateful for having found ABFN! Through ABFN's activities and our weekly playgroup, we have found wonderful friends and learned about the great resources locally for families. After two years of going to events, I decided to join the board to help support the work of a fantastic group of dedicated volunteers. Now, I get to help families connect with each other and with our community!

Our family of three moved to Boxborough in 2013 and I joined ABFN as soon as our internet was up and running. We found a playgroup soon after and have been busy ever since! The variety of activities and connections we made with other families was so helpful as we settled in. ABFN has allowed us to create a “village” of friends we’ve come to rely on, as well as a network of local resources that help us better connect with our community. This was especially helpful as I recently transitioned from running a small business/caring for one child full time to welcoming our second and stepping back from my work. Lest I have too much time on my hands, I joined the Board in September 2015 to provide Marketing & Communications support. ABFN has been such a great organization for our family and I am excited to help spread the word about our wonderful programs, events and resources to the greater community.

We have been members of the ABFN since moving to town in 2012, and it has since become our favorite resource in town for activities, information and special events. We attend multiple events each month of the year and are so grateful for the opportunities and people that the ABFN has brought to our family.
