Causes: Education, Educational Services
Mission: The organization's mission is to promote education and training to college bound high-school students and their families to better understand the college application and financial aid process to affordably access a college education. During 2008, the organization added veterans educational forums and workshops to learn how to access benefits, workforce reentry, education options, and assistance to the homeless veterans.
Programs: To help spread information to assist parents of high school students to maximize college financial aid, the organization worked diligently on revisions to its primary website www. Access-college. Org. The organization's website provides the mechanism for college bound students to work with us regarding career assessments, college tracking lists, educational counselor coaching, data verification, fafsa completion assistance, and student aid report confirmations to assess expected family contributions. The website also makes our monthly e-mail newsletters and other financial aid forms available to program participants. Our goal in 2014 and 2015 is to expand our student and parent offering to more participants through grants and corporate sponsorship focusing on access to college for the underserved and returning veterans seeking employment training and college access.
