Mission: Acadia family center provides education, prevention and out-patient treatment services for individuals of all ages, families and communities affected by alcohol, drug abuse, and/or mental health disorders.

buprenenorphine program: within the buprenorphine program, the physician, a psychiatrist, believes one person should ideally manage psychiatric services for our clients on medication assisted treatment such as suboxone or subutex. The physician does his own independent assessment of each person in the buprenorphine program, which is in addition to a 90-120 minute psychiatric assessment by the therapist. Clients are reviewed minimally once a month in group supervision with the physician, therapists, and executive director, and also individually with the clinical supervisor minimally monthly or as needed. 316 sessions provided.
education: provide middle schools and high schools with 8 weeks, once a week of one hour sessions to education the students on the dangers of alcohol and drug use. 450 students served.
