Mission: The acadia birding festival provides educational birding and nature experiences through various activities including field trips, workshops, and presentations.
Programs: The acadia birding festival is currently a 4-day annual festival with a few pre- and post-festival trips added on for those participants who want to stay longer. The festival offers numerous birding field trips, socials, and presentations during the weeklong event. The field trips include boat trips to islands, a pelagic seabird boat trip, canoeing trips to local marshes, and walking trips along trails in acadia national park and other preserved land. Our socials occur at the somesville fire station community room, consisting of lunches and evening appetizers. Our presentations by keynote speakers are in the acadia repertory theater in somesville on three different nights during the festival.
