Being a part of AWEC has been a rewarding experience for me. There is such a need to empower women to make a difference in the African Diaspora and on the continent of Africa. It is an opportunity for these women to bring their dreams and goals to fruition. Dr. Uwa Simiri has done a phenomenal job bringing women together on both sides of the Atlantic ocean. She has a way to inspire, motivate and lift up women who had put their entrepreneurial aspirations on the back burner. I look forward to moving my business forward working with other women with similar ideas. AWEC is an extraordinary non profit that will make a mark in the future for thousands of women.
Nobantu Ankoanda, Ed.D - Education Leadership
I have been a proud member/director with the African Women Economic Consortium since its conception because of the mission behind the organization: Empower a woman, empower a nation. As an activist who fights for various causes, to be a part of an organization that focuses on business empowerment/development for women in Africa, the diaspora and women around the world and spearheads awareness for health, science, education, agriculture and growth for children, young women and adults - it is impossible not to want to be a part of such a organization. The founder, Ambassador Uwa Onyioha-Osimiri, Ph.D., is one of the most giving, caring and driven individuals I have met who has dedicated her life to making sure that AWEC follows through with its mission and principles. As a business owner, it is wonderful to be a part of the consortium branch of the organization in which fellow female entrepreneurs grow, learn, share their expertise with the community. With our growing chapters in Africa and around the world, greatness is abound. I am proud to be a life long member of AWEC.
My experience with AWEC Intentional - African Women Economic Consortium - has been phenomenal, ever since first connecting with the members and founder early 2018! Their mission to empower communities by empowering women, resonates strongly with my personal beliefs, and the goals set out by my own enterprise. I have since become a proud member of AWEC, and remain fully committed to aiding in all aspects of community development for the accomplishments of its mission. I invite women entrepreneurs of diverse professional experiences to join this non profit, and share in what this platform is poised to offer. Indeed in the words of AWEC Founder Dr. Uwa Onyioha-Osimir, when we empower a woman, we empower a nation! N. Okwumabua, Founder, CPDI Africa.
