Nonprofit Overview
Causes: Military & Veterans Organizations, Veterans
Mission: To seek out, provide the opportunities and financially assist American Military Veterans in reaching their final wishes for themselves, their families or their designees; in the final chapters of their lives.
Results: With A Vet's Last Wish Inc. receiving our 501(c)(3) in October of 2014 we have one wish currently being funded and will be accomplished within the first half of our fiscal year. Our staff is strictly volunteer by our by-laws and no salaries are given. 80% percent of donations are to the mission and 20% is to administrative cost. Target demographics: To seek out, provide the opportunities and financially assist American Military Veterans in reaching their final wishes for themselves, their families or their designees; in the final chapters of their lives.
Direct beneficiaries per year: In 2014 at the close of the fiscal year in October we received our 501(C)(3) status.
Geographic areas served: Currently, A Vet’s Last Wish Inc. (AVLW), is based solely in the United States of America, within the State of Florida. However, with AVLW’s purpose being to provide benefits to American Military Veterans, AVLW is aware that there are American Military Veterans residing outside of the United States. AVLW may or may not operate within a foreign country(ies) in the future.
Programs: This may entail making a Veteran a home cooked meal, cleaning a Veteran’s home or yard, being there to listen to a lonely Veteran, taking a Veteran on a Sunday drive, sending a Veteran up in a helicopter to fly over Niagara Falls; helping a Veteran’s child or spouse finish school through assistance finding scholarships or financial assistance, the possibilities are endless.
