Kennedy from mombasa kenya broke his neck in a diving accident in a swimming pool at school in 1992, then aged 16. Though he still has no grip in his fingers, he learned to paint by clenching the brush between his fingers and paint for a living and as a therapy too. He lost his dear mum who had been his caregiver on june 23, 2011. To deal with the devastating loss, he started a small fun called the momma kennedy and friends mission in her memory. Among them they have donated over 450 goats, cows, sewing machines, chickens, clothes, mobility aids etc to needy disabled children from poor, remote and marginalized areas in their coastal town of mombasa. Our newest program allows us to make a direct impact on the lives of those living with paralysis through the purchase of a standing frame. In 2014 we awarded three frames to individuals based in washington, oklahoma and california.
