Well I hear from your organization from an associate of Pet Supermarkets @ Champion forest and 99 highway. I have a Pitbull her name is Fiona she is 2 years 5 months, I rescued her when she was only a month old, she was old bitten up, she was in a very bad condition, that was the reason I agree to get her back to health witch I did it before with another dog, fortunately that other dog was adopted by a family without any problem since he was a German Shepperd, unfortunately I am allergic to dogs, but that didn't stop me to help one more dog again, but 2 years ago I have a bad accident and for the second time I have a back operation on 1/23/2020 witch now prevent me for doing a lot of things I was used to, Fiona is a very good dog she is a house pet she is potty trained, spay and in a very healthy condition, and up to her shots, except for she is allergic to grass and she love to sit on it when she go to potty on my back yard, but like i said I am allergic to dog so I can't pet her and I know that she needs a lot of love, unfortunately for my decreasing health conditions I can't keep her any more and I don't want to take her just to any shelter since I know that will be her end, I wish I can find a loving family for Fiona who can keep giving her the care that I been giving her all this time specially lot of love.. If anyone is interested you can contact me at mlopezsandra@aol.com. Thank you.
A family friend of mine had adopted from A Chance to Bloom. These dogs are not vetted at all - I don't know what Barbara is doing with the funds that people donate to this non-profit. The dogs are nothing like what Barbara had made up in regards to their temperament. Dogs had to be returned to rescue because they were not safe around other big or small dogs. Barbara kept the transport fee, the donation to ACTB and the adoption fee only to flip the two dogs to another unassuming owner by just ghosting the whole situation without providing a remedy. Barbara also refused to provide tax receipt for donation. Now all social media is gone for a chance to bloom. Will be filing a complaint to the IRS for nonprofit organization 501(c)(3).
The registered agent of this non-profit is raising funds for the veterinary bill of a puppy yet has paid nothing on the veterinary bill. In fact, the check she wrote bounced. It also took starting the legal process for abandoned animals to get the pup picked up from the vet's office.
I’ve been trying to get ahold of someone about adoption but can’t they don’t return emails.. how do you get a ahold of them to see if dogs are still available
A Chance to Bloom is an amazing, ethical rescue. All those involved with the rescue have 0 ego; they consistently act in the best interests of the dogs in their care. They take dogs that would never make it out of shelters or are abandoned on the streets of Houston and turn them in to beloved, beautiful family pets. Not only are they caring and generous, ACTB is extremely knowledgeable about various conditions and ailments that dogs may have. They’re always willing to learn new things and get multiple opinions. Even when they are strapped with severe medical cases, they always find time to help dogs in need. Truly an all-around stellar group of people working to give voice to the voiceless!
A Chance to Bloom is one of the best rescues in the Houston area. I have been working with them over the past year and seeing first hand the challenging and most desperate cases they bring in shows me how caring and committed they are to helping those in need. Some of the dogs I see I can't believe the transformations that take place in just a few months, it's amazing! They care deeply for the dogs in their care and ensure they always get adopted to the best home. Thank you ACTB for all you do!!
The best foster fail I ever had came from A Chance To Bloom. After he wasn't a fit for an adoptive family in Indianapolis, IN, I agreed to pick Duval up and foster him here in Central Kentucky until a suitable adopter could be found. This was in February. It is now almost Halloween and I'm busy trying to decide what Duvie (as he was affectionately named at ACTB) Is going to be dresses as. He has definitely bloomed here, the training he received at ACTB and whatever he had known as a stray made him an excellent fit in my house already full of dogs (10 and counting) he is an amazing ambassador of his breed, He is a bully breed. The care that the rescue took in insuring that he was in good hands amazed me, the follow up on his wellbeing astounded me and I am proud to have "failed with this wonderful, loving, boy. He even does a "Duvie dance" for me every day for treats which he must have learned at A Chance To Bloom. I'm totally smitten with this boy who could never have bloomed into the amazing dog that he is without the hope and the chance that he was given by A Chance To Bloom. I will do my best not to foster any more dogs from them in the near future, my house can only hold so many...for now.
A Chance to Bloom stands up for the dogs who have no more chances left at the shelter. A Chance to Bloom is an amazing nonprofit that we have had the privilege of working with over the past 3 years. Jessica and Will and the rest of their staff have rescued hundreds of dogs from Montgomery County Animal Shelter, a high kill shelter, who had no more chances left. Without hesitation, they adopt dogs with multiple, serious medical issues who have been passed over at the shelter and have no more time left. They provide the obvious things: food, a warm soft bed to sleep, medical treatment. But the most important ingredient that has healed so many dogs is their unconditional Love. We have watched dogs make incredible transformations under A Chance to Bloom's care and have witnessed what a huge difference a small group of dedicated volunteers can do when they so deeply about these abandoned animals. Incredible people doing incredible things. Jessica and Will are all stars - they run an amazing doggie daycare; rescue and foster dogs; and pour an immense amount of time into this great organization. A Chance to Bloom gives dogs the second chance they deserve. They provide the dogs with food, medical care, and love. They then place the dogs with loving families.
