A 2nd Cup is one of my favorite nonprofits - of all time. Not only is the whole concept of a nonprofit coffee shop completely amazing, but A 2nd Cup is run by some of the most dedicated and hard working people out there. The community within A 2nd Cup is rare to find in a nonprofit or even a coffee shop. The coffee tastes amazing, the volunteers and baristas are knowledgeable and friendly, and they truly are making a difference in the lives of those who have been trafficked. They are doing amazing work and all it costs you is a small cup of coffee to support them. 10/10 recommend!

A 2nd Cup provides excellent coffees, teas, and other beverages as well as delicious baked goods and sandwiches. All of it tastes great but even better because they are supporting one of the most important causes in Houston, freedom. They educate, partner, and have recently begun to offer survivor training in the form of the culinary training program Brazen table. The holiday season is coming soon and that means you can order delicious baked goods for your family celebrations! They have survivor made goods in the shop (candles, skin care, etc.) in addition to other fair trade teas, coffees, and chocolates. I have been a customer and volunteer for serveral years, and I can’t wait to see what they will do next!

They have increased my awareness and education to the injustice in our region of human trafficking. Additionally, they continuously offer opportunities to engage and contribute towards the cause of ending human trafficking that produce results and are enjoyable to the donor and volunteer.

We love a 2nd Cup coffee shop! Who couldn't love a trendy cafe in the heart of Houston, who serves top rate coffee and raises awareness of victims of human trafficking at the same time. They give their time and energy to so many other partnering organisations and are incredibly generous with their space. This year we helped out raising funds for their Culinary Aftercare Program 'Brazen Table' - a 5 month training course for victims themselves, teaching them basic culinary and hospitality skills to help them become job ready. We couldn't recommend a 2nd Cup more highly. Drop in and have a coffee, a sandwich and a chat and you'll be helping those in need.

I go bananas for A 2nd Cup's Rosemary Latte ... Freedom never tasted so good! Every cup brings us closer to ending human trafficking. I serve as the Treasurer of our Board of Directors, partnering with A2C’s amazing leadership team to connect our business dreams to our passion: #tileveryoneisfree.
