The 52-2 district court discriminates against people with mental illnesses and does not select these people for sobriety court. The court does this because they care more about their sobriety court success statistics than being fair to all clients when determining who is selected for their sobriety court. Even though the sobriety court program says that the residency requirement for sobriety court can be waived for good cause, that is not the policy used. If you are out of the courts jurisdiction, you will not be given the opportunity for sobriety court.
