Mission: 2nd Chance Sanctuary restores to health injured wildlife and then releases them. Severely injured animals are given perpetual care at our Facilities. Kittens and cats are spayed, vaccinated and placed in good homes. The youth assisting Dr. Hines and his Staff in these activities are referred to us by the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice, our local Court System and the School Boards of Manatee and Sarasota Counties of Florida as a last alternative to prison or locked-down juvenile detention centers. We are the sole local alternative for many troubled teenagers in our area. Many receive their G.E.D.s through us.
