I met Dave and Stacey initially online when searching for people and/or communities to connect with after I lost my 14 year old son to suicide. Being a veteran who also struggled with suicide ideations and attempts, I connected with both Stacey and Dave in many ways. The first time we got to meet in person was at their skydiving event where me and my husband jumped out of an airplane together! They always have been and still are a huge support to me and my family, while always honoring my son Alex. They are truly amazing people doing amazing things everyday!!
22 Mohawks is an outstanding organization! Dave and Stacy are truly genuine people, putting their hearts and souls into the mission of raising awareness of Veterans Suicide. Their pets for Vets is a heartwarming program that is a true life saver. They also do many other outreach activities designed to promote camaraderie, from sky diving and static line jumping with fellow vets, to book clubs, gun safety courses, financial classes and their creative Mohawk Medevac! They put the hours into education and certification to be the knowledgeable professionals that they are. I’m honored to know them and admire the great nonprofit that they lead!
Was exposed to this nonprofit while functioning at the same location with a different Veterans nonprofit- and was so overwhelmingly impressed by them.
In a world where so many things ‘might not be as they initially seem’, it is beyond refreshing to find organizations like this that are so transparent, so dedicated, so RELENTLESS and nonstop…and I have seen firsthand the change they’ve fostered in veteran friends of mine.
It’s so incredibly easy to follow leaders like Dave and Stacy because you can see the passion in their eyes for helping others…I wish I had more time, as I’ve joined them and help out to the best of my ability but there’s so much more than can be done.

When i got home from deployment i was having an extremely hard time. Going through the motions and trying to get through each day. I reached my breaking point. What was next? I was low. I sure know it wasn’t going to be good. I reached out to a fellow VFW member to find out about 22mohawks. I requested a dog. NEXT DAY i got a phone call. 2 days later the best thing to ever happen to me and the greatest community i didn’t know existed entered my life forever. I am now part of something bigger than myself once again. I have also participated in the 22mohawks Airborne retreat. That was the most camaraderie I’ve felt in years. I never thought someone like me would be so blessed to find this community. If you’re questioning it do it. Thank you for saving my life.
I am a disabled veteran whose service dog died very suddenly. A friend told me about 22 Mowhawks and I submitted an application. In less than a week I was asked if I would like a golden doodle. I sad yes. They had leashes crates and food available to take with my dog!
I left it for other veterans. Stacy and Dave are incredible kind people helping others and veteran suicide awareness ❤️ 18 months later fin comes to work at the VA spreading his love and joy.
Can not say enough great things about the 22Mohawks, Stacey, David, and Kiley. After the unexpected loss of Jackson, and a phone call from a retired emergency room nurse. 22Mohawks came into my life. They went far beyond the call of duty. We have a beautiful golden named Sydney filling the void in our lives. 22Mohawks are an unbelievable organization with exceptional people who care.
I couldn’t possibly be more grateful for Dave and Stacey and the most perfect pup they placed in my life. We have had Honey for 4 months and she has brought endless joy, more love than I could imagine, strength when I feel weak, and the daily structure that I didn’t even realize I needed. My husband and I are so in love with her. Thank you 22Mohawks for allowing us to have and train this baby to serve first responders across the country.
Stacey and Kiley worked for over a year to ensure that I would have the perfect pup. I admit part of me wanted to give up on life and the process as I felt there was no pup for me out there. My wife and I already had 2 pups but there was no connection between me or either of them. We have had pups throughout the last 24 years and no real connection with any pip during that time. So I was becoming very discouraged about any pup or anything in this life. However I believed when Stacey told me it’s going to happen. I was entering a very dark space and Stacey called me and said she has got the perfect pup for me. I truly wanted to believe it but I was so afraid. So this pup I got to name and meet and I was so afraid as when we met she wasn’t too sure about me. During our 5 hour drive I so worried that she would not like me or get along with me. I was driving and she rode in the back with my son. We pulled into a rest stop and I took her out to potty and then I believe it hit us both. We have both been so connected and can’t live without each other everyday and every minute of each day. I am forever grateful for Stacey finding me my best pup friend.
22mohawks helped us find the perfect puppy to complete our family. We are truly grateful for their support. Amazing people who do amazing things and I couldn’t recommend them enough
My family and I had been thinking about getting a dog for awhile but we weren't quite sure what to get or where to start. When we learned about 22Mohawks and saw that they had a litter of pups available that fit our need we jumped on the opportunity! It was a simple process and they were there to assist us every step of the way. Highly recommend them for the amazing work they do in the community and how much they actually care!

22Mohawks takes the time to get to no each recipient on a personal level. They welcome and allow everyone who comes through their door participate in whatever might interest them and their family. Their team is readily available despite being a non-profit. They truly do excellent work. Highly recommend their Pups for Vets and First Responder Program.
I've witnessed firsthand the effectiveness and care that 22Mohawks puts behind their mission statement. When my brother, a USMC combat veteran needed help the most, and after a few other organizations had failed him, 22Mohawks was there to give the support he needed. Their dedication to helping those veterans in need inspired him to do the very same. When a good friend of mine, also a Marine, lost his hidden battle that he fought all on his own, there was 22Mohawks, willing and ready to take the mantle of responsibility in getting him home, and treated with the respect and dignity he deserves. Those that work with 22Mohawks, my brother included, often find themselves doing thankless work. Or rather, work that many do not understand. Nonetheless, they deserve our support and recognition. You will not find better people anywhere else. Their mission may be stated as helping those veterans in need when help is needed most. To achieve that end, 22Mohawks displays the strongest human trait. That being goodwill towards man. We need more people like those that work with 22Mohawks. There is no organization more deserving of support. Thank you to all those who work tirelessly in their name.
I cannot express enough how grateful I am to 22 Mohawks for their incredible support. When my son’s active-duty Marine best friend tragically took his own life, I was desperate for help in supporting his family. 22 Mohawks immediately stepped in with both guidance and financial assistance to bring his active-duty Marine brothers together for his services. Their dedication and compassion during such a painful time have been invaluable to my family and our extended Marine family.
I am forever grateful for the unwavering care and commitment this remarkable nonprofit has shown. They truly go above and beyond for veterans and their families in times of need.

I was at my wits end, it was a crucial moment for me to reach out for help when I realized I needed it most. 22 Mohawks stepped up to the plate, without judgement and with compassion; essentially saving my life. As a Veteran I’m proud of my affiliation with this organization. When others refused to step up and offer assistance 22 Mohawks did so with zero hesitation; I had a therapy dog within a week and a lifelong family in this organization. They are quite honestly number one.
